AOU and KNG hold Training Program
Prof. Moudi Al-Humoud, President of the Arab Open University (AOU), stressed the importance of various training and counseling services that the AOU offers, through its Training Center, to contribute to disseminating knowledge, building capabilities and skills, and preparing manpower to serve the plans of sustainable development in Arab countries.
This came in a press release at the end of a training program organized by the Training Center at the AOU in coordination and cooperation with the Kuwait National Guard (KNG). The five-day program, which started from 26 to 30 March 2017, included eight workshops with a participation of 108 trainees from the KNG.
Al-Humoud emphasized that the agreements and partnerships signed by the AOU with various public and private bodies at the local and international levels aim to strengthen cooperation in all academic areas, the development programs of the job performance, and the community service. She added the AOU, through these agreements and partnerships, seeks to implement its noble mission as being a leading and unique university in developing knowledge and preparing manpower to serve the needs of labor markets.
On his part, Major. Abdul-Rahman Assi, from the training sector at the KNG, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the management of the Training Center and all the trainees for their efforts. He pointed to the well-prepared training program that consists of skills, knowledge and information essential for the trainees to acquire; in consequence, he added the program promotes the trainees’ professionalism and efficiency.
Dr. Sami Khalifa, Manager of the Training Center at the AOU, praised the cooperation and coordination between the KNG and the AOU yielding 13 training programs during the last four weeks. He hoped that there would be a constant relationship in the field of workshops and training programs to serve both the parties and activate the cooperation protocol signed between the KNG and the AOU.
