Kuwait University Hosts the Twentieth Meeting for Presidents and Directors of Gulf Universities in the 13th of October
On this occasion, President of the Finance and Administrative Committee and Assistant Secretary-General for Administrative Affairs Bader Mohammed Al-Thiyab Stated that the twentieth meeting for presidents and directors of Gulf universities and higher education Institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States, hosted by KU comes as a continuation of the work of the periodic commission, pointing out that the meeting will discuss several topics of interest to students of the GCC countries regarding higher education.
Al-Thiyab indicated that a preparatory meeting of the Committee will be held at 9:00 AM, while the first session of the twentieth meeting for presidents and directors of Gulf universities and higher education Institutions in the GCC will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 9:00 AM.
The seventh seminar for presidents and directors of Gulf universities and higher education Institutions in the GCC will be held as part of the events of the 20th meeting on Wednesday 15th of October, 2014 at 8:30 AM and will discuss the following topics:
First: research funding and scientific research incentives
Second: scientific research and graduate studies.
Third: investing in scientific research outputs.
Forth: scientific publications and database.
It is worth mentioning that the Nineteenth Meeting of the Committee for Presidents and Directors of Gulf Universities and Higher Education Institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States was held at
The meeting discussed a number of topics such as the equality of the people of the GCC countries in University admission and approach, encouraging educational mobility between higher education institutions in the GCC countries, the Gulf Gate for scientific research in addition to the award of excellence in the design and development of e-courses, the development of academic programs in the field of nuclear energy and directing some scholarships to specialize in this area, monitoring the students with special needs affairs in universities and higher education institutions in the GCC countries, as well as studying the establishment of a center for translation and publication of the GCC universities, and studying the establishment of a center for unified cooperation of the GCC for continuing education in the Arabian Gulf University.
The Committee of Presidents and Directors of Gulf Universities and Higher Education Institutions in the GCC is supervising several committees of joint work in the field of higher education at the GCC and following up its performance.
