Gulf University for Science and Technology Celebrate the Graduation of their Largest Class

Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Bader AlEssa• Highest graduation class in GUST’s history• Tenth Undergraduate and Sixth Graduate Commencement Ceremony Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) celebrated the commencement of the Tenth Undergraduate and Sixth Graduate Classes for the academic year 2014-2015 on Tuesday 10 November 2015 at their esteemed outdoor amphitheater on campus.The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Bader Al Essa. Also in attendance was GUST Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Salem AlTuhaih, GUST President, Professor Donald Bates, along with GUST faculty, students and their families.Dr. Bader AlEssa, Minister of Education and Higher Education said, “The role of the private sector is completed by supporting the government’s efforts and educational institutions efforts to support the markets needs and to ensure the quality of the education in Kuwait. Moreover, I would like to thank the Gulf University for Science and Technology, and the parents on all their efforts”.This ceremony marks the university’s largest graduating class with 737 graduates, ready to embark on the next chapter of their lives.Professor Salem AlTuhaih, GUST Chairman of the Board of Trustees said, “Countries always rely on developing their educational institutions and research centers to solve any problems that might occur in the future, and developing solutions is the key factor for any progress, socially, technically and economically. Therefore, educational institutions must be given sufficient freedom in order to monitor their performance and quality control through local and international accreditations. Gulf University for Science and Technology is offering premium quality, and the University has accreditation and affiliations with elite universities around the world, and we are always eager to have graduates with the highest quality in academic education”. I want to help you continue on this successful journey by encouraging you to have a vision of a better Kuwait, a better world, and know that as you travel to fulfill that vision, the journey is as important as the destination. Furthermore, I wish for you, a loving family, many friends and a journey that includes getting in the game of life, hard work, overcoming fear, learning from your failures, breaking the rules, and avoiding the naysayers because your mission is to change Kuwait. The night ended with a grand display of fireworks, and customized photo booths were available for students to capture these joyous moments with their families and friends.
