Muslim students and Ramadan in foreign countries
Ramadan is a holy month and all Muslims wait for it to devote their time on fasting, praying, reading Qura’an and other holy worships. There are a lot of Muslims live in Europe and other non Muslim countries; some of them are forigen and others are Arab. Some Arab migrate for many reasons and others to study. The societies are different and sometimes it is hard to assimilate easily. Some students Fast Ramadan in a foreign country and that is nice and hard at the same time. It is nice because you are away from your society and that makes you stronger and the weather is better than the weather in Kuwait. On the other hand, it is hard because of the long day which reaches 19 hours and the mosque is away. Also, it is hard because the student is away from his country and he misses his family . Some students face difficulties with non muslim society. Finally, we have to look for the bright side all the time. First, we have to thank Allah for all graces. Second, we have to focus on the benefits of fasting in a foreign country and different society. Fasting in different society helps you to be stronger and to learn Self-reliance. Also, fasting away from your family helps you to spend most of your time on holy worships instead of family gathering. Everybody should be satisfied with his destiny and do his best to adapt with all circumstances and look for the shinning side of life.
