Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) welcomed new and current students to the Advising and Registration event on campus yesterday to help complete their registration procedures, receive advice and enroll in classes. The event was organized to ensure that all students enjoyed a smooth transition into the semester. The event familiarized students with the admissions and registration processes, as well as the various academic services available to them throughout their time at the university, such as peer tutoring, academic advising, and counseling. With the help of the Admissions & Registration Department, students received specialized one-on-one training on how to use the SIS online system, which can be used to enroll in classes, check schedules, and share information with professors.GUST Vice President of Academic Services, Dr. Sabah Al-Quaddoomi, said, “Part of our job as educators, is to ensure that our students feel at ease throughout their academic journey, which is one of the main reasons for organizing this event. I want each and every student to consider this place, GUST, their second home. It is here that students will discover their self and figure out who they want to be and how they want to make a difference in this world – and we are here to help them do that”.Upon completing their registration requirements, students were able to pay their tuition fees, receive their student IDs, and enroll in all their classes on the spot. Students get to connect with the people and experiences that will help them throughout their time here. Exploring the campus and connecting with the departments will guarantee a smooth and successful academic transition. All departments involved will be available in the campus’s convention center until Thursday, January 21st 2016 catering to students’ registration and enrollment needs. GUST continuously works to solidify itself as the premier private university in Kuwait, providing its students with the highest quality education, best overall university experience, stimulating campus life, and exceptional services.
