Dean of College of Science at KU Prof. Jassim Al-Hassan received the visiting professor, Ibrahim Banat, Professor of Microbial Biotechnology, University of Ulster- United Kingdom who conducted many important research in bio surfactants and environmental and industrial bio-technology applications, medicine and health-related areas.
It is worth mentioning that Professor Ibrahim Banat is a recognized expert in the use of bio surfactants in pharmaceutical and environmental applications. He participates in research that aims to develop public platform technology for the production of fermentation of bio surfactants using yeast strains of the metabolism.
Professor Banat is a specialist in the areas of research related to oil and gas microbiology, microbial enhanced oil recovery (MEOR), biological treatment, ethanol and the production of biofuels. Prof. Banat has published more than 200 magazines in International Tribunal and books.
