Microbiology Art Competition

This year, for the first time, the Microbiology Program (Dept. of Biological Sciences)incorporated an art competition in their annual exhibition which displays numerous beneficial roles of microorganisms in nature as well as industry.Microbiology-related pencil drawings and bacterial culture artwork produced by undergraduate students from the department were displayed and judged by 8 microbiology staff members.The 2014-2015 microbiology student advisor (Dr. D. Al-Gharabally) stated that she would formally like to thank all the participants of this competition and added that many students as well as staff members showed interest in the microbiology artwork. Therefore, she hopes that the Faculty of Science can organize an annual art exhibition in which students from each department can participate and display artwork relatedto their scientific major.
