AOU President highly values Kuwait’s effort in preventing COVID-19

Prof. Mohammad bin Ibrahim AL-Zakari, President of the Arab Open University (AOU), in a press release highly valued the sincere efforts of the competent authorities in the State of Kuwait to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), which reflects the Government’s concern for the safety of all who live in Kuwait.

AL-Zakari said the AOU, represented by its Headquarters in Kuwait and all its branches across the Arab world, had been prepared for such circumstances beyond countries’ control. Adopting a flexible learning system and providing locally and internationally accredited high-quality academic programs, this makes AOU offer a secured and ongoing learning environment based on the blended learning approach, which combines traditional learning techniques with electronic material learning and methods, Al-Zakari added.

He also pointed out that the University highly appreciates the role of the Kuwait’s government in supporting all educational institutions, which mirrors its interest in providing all opportunities to help all knowledge-seekers to pursue their education ambitions so as to serve their country and society.

Concurrently, the University is willing to provide all kinds of support and assistance in accordance with its potential and expertise in e-learning and blended learning consistently with the proactive role that all institutions and bodies are called upon to play.

In this regard, Prof. Al-Zakari recalled the role of the founder of the University, the late Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, and commended HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal, Chairman of the AOU Board of Trustees, on his unlimited support to the University. Lastly, he asked Allah Almighty to preserve Kuwait’s safety and stability and its people under the wise leadership of HH the Amir of Kuwait.
