Kuwait University Launched “Microsoft 365” the New Email System Project

Under the patronage of Kuwait University president Prof. Hussein Al –Ansari, Kuwait University launched “Microsoft 365” the new email system project in collaboration with Microsoft Gulf Company. Vice President for Academic Support Services Prof. Jassem Al-Kandari attended the event as a representative of KU President , along with a number of officials, professors and deans of colleges in KU campus- Khaldiya.
Prof. Al-Kandari indicated that this project serves students, faculty and staff members so as to facilitate work procedures and electronic operations. He added that anyone within the university can communicate with the administration from anywhere in the world through smart devices such as mobile phones , laptops or desktop computers where employees can perform their work from any location. Prof. Al-Kandari stated that all the services provided by the company are free of charge.

For his part, Director of the Education Sector at Microsoft Gulf, Ahmed Amin Ashour stressed that Microsoft “Office 365” applications provide the latest types of technology and communication between students and faculty members. Students can write their digital notes through this application and can use different devices as long as they support the programs and Microsoft applications, thus students can download all the needed information using the “Icloud “.
Director of Center for Information Systems Engineer Maha Qadoumi stated that the new email system has many advantages and has achieved an advanced level compared to the previous email system.
The old email system’s storage capacity was “50 MB”, while the new email capacity is “50 GB”, it also provides a range of free applications for all users of students, faculty and staff members such as “skype, yammer, office” and other desktop applications for 15 devices , whether smart phones or laptops and computers.
