Dubai Heights Academy (DHA), a leading British curriculum school located in the heart of Al Barsha South, has turned to the immersive capabilities of virtual reality by launching 360° virtual tours, with virtual admissions for the next calendar school year, September 2020 – June 2021, now open.
Virtual tours of the campus, which can be accessed via DHA’s newly launched website, allow both parents and children interested in DHA to explore the school and its state-of-the-art facilities which include specialist labs for science, IT, kitchens, art and music; a full-size football pitch; 372-seat cinematic auditorium and a Snoezelen room.
Browsing through DHA’s new website, which boasts an array of new and improved features including digital learning and a dedicated admissions portal, potential students and their families can also learn about the English National Curriculum taught at DHA and the structure of the school as well as its vision and of course its philosophy.
The tours can be viewed on a desktop, tablet or smartphone, and include a range of photo galleries and a direct link to the Dubai Heights Academy admissions process and the registrars Alison Whites details so you can take the next step in your admissions journey.
Alison Lamb, Principal, Dubai Heights Academy, said: “Virtually walking through our school, both parents and potential students located here in the UAE, or indeed overseas, can experience the real sense of community and inclusion which is at the core of DHA’s ethos.
“In order to gain further insight into life at DHA, you can look at our newly launched website and our social media channels which demonstrate our students and staff experiences of teaching and learning. While, our new website and social media can provide you with an initial insight, the virtual tour can allow you to experience a school’s environment in real time. During these tours you can assess whether the school is safe and secure and gauge the overall school community and academics as well as the sporting and performance facilities available.”
“High academic standards depend on an excellent working environment, top international facilities, educational resources and wonderful teachers and faculty – and DHA has been developed with these elements in abundance.”
With lessons currently being taught online as a result of social distancing measures which have been implemented across the UAE, DHA is offering a 10% discount on all fees for Term 3 of this calendar school year, as well as providing parents with the opportunity to spread their payments over three months – April, May and June.
Meanwhile admissions for the next calendar school year are now open for all students from Early Years Foundation Stage through to Year 7, with DHA launching virtual admissions to help make the process as simple as possible for both parents and children.
In addition, DHA’s senior leadership team will hosting numerous Instagram Live open days for each individual year group over the coming months.
FS1 pupils registering at DHA for the academic 2020-2021 academic year will receive an exclusive 15% discount, plus 10% off FS2 for the 2021-2022 academic year. Meanwhile, new pupils registering for FS2 – Year 6 will receive a special 10% discount on their annual fees, and those registering for Year 7 will receive a 5% discount, all for the academic year 2020-2021.
These fees are fully inclusive of both academic subjects and extracurricular activities such as sports, technology, music and drama as well as all textbooks and stationery and the DHA Loyalty Card.
Selecting the perfect school for your child is not an easy decision – it can be a daunting experience for parents, with many elements to consider such as curriculum, subjects taught, environment, location, and of course fees.
Principal Lamb added: “Before making any decision, it’s important to participate in a tour of all schools on your consideration list. Just a short, virtual tour from the comfort of your own home, can be enough to help you and your child identify a school’s strengths and challenges.”
